Vancouver Data Center Maintenance Window - April 14
Our Vancouver Date Center provider will be performing network
maintenance overnight April 13-14. This maintenance will effect 2 of our
servers that host DNS, Virus Scanning Gateway (including email to our
Web Hosted clients) and Backup Email Server Services. The outage will
occur overnight (in North America) to minimize impact.
Date: April 14, 2004
Time: 0600 - 1000 UTC (2am-6am EDT)
Duration: 4 hours
DNS Customers:
Only ns1.lanechange.net will be effected by this outage. ns2 & ns3 are
not located in this data center and you should experience no service
interruptions in DNS provided that your domain name lists all 3 of our
name servers.
Virus Scanning Gateway & Web Hosting (email only) clients:
During the maintenance window, the virus scanning server will be off
line. Most clients of this service where assigned 2 MX records, the
second being a backup email server and this will route all email to our
Atlanta data center where it will be stored until our Virus Scanning
server is returned to service. Email will then be feed through the
scanner and delivered to you as before.
Backup Email Server Clients:
Clients of our backup service have our server listed as a secondary MX
record. During the maintenance window, our service will be unavailable.
The SMTP protocol supports email queuing and as such, no email will be
lost should your email server go down during our maintenance window.
We apologize for any inconvenience this maintenance window may cause.
